To explore the Entrepreneurial journey, second-semester MBA students presented their startup and business ideas.
Each idea presented by the students was a delight to hear and contemplate. The judges had a challenging day as each presentation and presenter proved to be a tough competition.
The ideas shared by the students were not mere plans, but a glimpse into the promising future of the business world.

LIVE PROJECT AT NSIC

 
 

IBMR organized an Industrial visit to NSIC on 26-9-2023 where students learned about the general overview of NSIC’s operations, Entrepreneurship, Small-Scale Industries, and technology.

In NSIC visits students gained industrial and practical aspects
which helped students to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge & practical. This awareness enables them to make informed career choices and align their educational goals with industry requirements.
NSIC Industrial visits often offer networking opportunities to Students which can help them to connect with professionals, build contacts, and develop professional relationships.
This experience helped students enhance practical skills such as critical thinking, problem-solving, teamwork, communication, and adaptability & instilled a sense of responsibility and professionalism in students.

Sony’s principal Indian businesses include Marketing, Sales, and After-Sales Services of electronic products & software exports Products: LCD Televisions, Video and Digital Still Cameras, Notebooks and Business Projectors, Personal Audio, Audio Video Accessories, Hi-fi Audios and Home Theater systems, Car Audio and Visual Systems, Game Consoles, Mobile Phones, Recording Media and Energy Devices, Broadcast and Professional products.

As per the internship with Sony India, some students were hired as management trainees from IBMR Gurgaon

This was a one-month live project in which students got a chance to work with Sony India and its amazing culture and it was an excellent opportunity for the candidates looking forward to making their career in sales and marketing to work with an organization like Sony.
The management trainees were provided 3 days of training on sales, marketing, consumer behavior, communication, and corporate know-how mantras from professional trainers in a pragmatic way. Post completion of the live project all the students were provided an Internship certificate along with the stipend plus huge exposure which they will get by working there.

Company Profile: Geepay is a product line of Geeglobia India Private limited (Business Correspondent of RBL Bank Ltd) providing online services that lets people send money to the beneficiary’s bank account anywhere in India. Geepay has been formulated with an aim to provide flexible payment options to the masses..

Project description: The students  acted as Marketing and Sales Associates for GeePay. They will have to generate leads and get vendors registered with GeePay. They can be shops, restaurants, small dhabas, local store owners, kirana stores etc. The target can be the owner of any small/big shop, store or eating joint.

They had to inform the owners about GeePay, its benefits and its usage. Once the owner registers, it would count as a successful conversion for the intern.

Why workshops are important?

A workshop was conducted on 12 April 2024 by Col. Anil Gulati followed by Mr. Mukul Jain, members of the Indian Society for Training & Development (ISTD).

The workshop showcased the evolution of shaving technology and its impact on personal grooming with the Gillette Venice Razor. Further, the event highlighted the Whisper’s innovative design, and discreet protection during menstruation.

Esteemed speaker Dr. Mukul Jain, a distinguished panelist of NISM & SEBI and a renowned Management Consultant and Corporate Trainer, graced the event with his wealth of experience and insights.
 
The event is a valuable opportunity for students to enhance their financial acumen and delve into discussions on key topics like financial literacy and management. Dr. Jain’s engaging discourse resonated with the audience, leaving them better informed and equipped to navigate the world of finance.

The IBMR conducted a workshop on Whisper and Gillette. Ms. Kaninika Bharadwaj was the impaneled guest for the respective session. The workshop showcased the evolution of shaving technology and its impact on personal grooming with the Gillette Venice Razor. Further, the event highlighted the Whisper’s innovative design, and discreet protection during menstruation.
 
Overall, the workshop provided valuable insights into self-grooming and tips for BYOB (Being your boss). Participants left with a deeper understanding of the importance of innovation in the personal care industry.

NISM WORKSHOP

“INVESTMENTS ARE FUTURE SECURITY”
DAY – 1 (February 10, 2023)
SPEAKER – Dr. MUKUL JAIN
The workshop started with a pre- quiz which was circulated amongst the students via mail. The workshop was divided into 8 sessions. The total duration of the workshop was 10 hours within 3 days. The session gave insights on the importance of investment and various financial investment opportunities. The speaker spoke about the basics of stock market and about various investment options to meet our life goals. He also made students aware about the three pillars of investment – Safety, Liquidity and Return.
DAY- 2 (February 11, 2023)
The 2nd day started with a discussion from Economic Times headlines about Adani groups free float shares. He showed us Bombay Stock Exchange portal and made us familiar with fundamentals of the different companies. He gave us information about the two major markets i.e. Primary and Secondary markets, its working and how we can participate in these markets. He explained how to analyse the overvaluation and undervaluation of stocks by giving real examples of different companies like Adani group, Reliance and Vodafone Idea etc.
DAY-3 (February 13, 2023)
The 3rd day revolved around Mutual Funds. Initially, he gave us a glimpse about penny stocks and their risk and return relationship from Economic Times. After that he explained about Mutual Funds about Mutual Funds about the structure and its classification.It is safe to invest money. At the end, the entire workshop acted as an eye opener about the prevailing scenario in the securities market. He briefed about the career opportunities in the field of stock market. Overall the entire session was to make the students literate and boosted their confidence to start investing.

Mall Visit

IBMR organised a Mall visit to MGF Metropolitan ,Gurgaon on 7-2-23 for
PGDM -2nd sem Students (Batch 2022-24).Students gained lot of insights related to “Luxury Retailing ” and got exposure of luxury brands and their visual merchandising display, Store Outlet Display & Design, Inventory Control, Other Mall Operational activities such as Centralization Hvac&R, E&M Maintenance ,Mall Security System etc..

MadhavGarh Farms Visit

IBMR Group has taken its 2022-2024 batch of MBA/PGDM to MadhavGarh Farms for recreational travel. The purpose of the trip was to develop synergy amongst the students, outing for the students who are new to Gurgaon (Haryana), and to make them energetic before their academic session commencement.
MadhavGarh Farm trip was a few miles off the city limits and had a very countryside feel for the students. A lot of activities were planned for them such as adventurous (e.g. Zip Line, Highest Commando Net, Rock Climbing, Rappelling wall), Management (including Tug of War, Cricket, Volleyball, Badminton, Trampoline, Dart, Archery). Moreover, Rural activities (consisting of Pottery making, Rajasthani culture performance, Tractor ride, Camel ride, Bullock cart ride, Mehandi and many more). Furthermore, our students were also enthralled with Rain dance, water activities & on top of it some dancing moves on Live DJ).
This trip made the students more engaged with one another, a lot of them got a chance to showcase their skill & talent in-front of their peers, and a better understanding and harmony was seen in the batch.
And that is what IBMR looks for in our new MBA/PGDM 2022-24 batches. IBMR envisions that field trips add perspective for MBA & PGDM students. Therefore, over here we provide the opportunity to young buds for structured trips to provide intellectual and emotional experiences with other cultures for IBMR students learning to lead in a global economy.

Brahma Kumaris Centre Visit

On 14th Aug IBMR 2022-24 MBA /PGDM batch got an opportunity to visit Brahma Kumaris retreat Centre.
It was an insightful session, on how spirituality leads to more productivity, why spirituality is important in today’s time and from a young age and many more.
OUR MBA /PGDM students enjoyed the visit and look forward to imbibe the learning they got from the session.
Our students learned the values of life, few felt new energy within themselves & the rest felt the experience was “self awaring ” and “awakening” .
Our trip comprised of a 2 hour session on spirituality talks, Q&A session, meditation, Prasad distribution, and walk over their center, experiencing energy in a meditative pyramid hall.
Overall , It was a mesmerizing experience; in other words, a day to remember!!
 

Youth Empowerment Program

Students of IBMR Group of Intuitions, Gurgaon was invited for Youth Empowerment by My
Home India, on 9th July 2022 at the Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi. Students of IBMR, along with
other well repute institutions of Delhi-NCR were been addressed by the 14th President of India
Shri Ram Nath Kovind.
 

Investors Awareness Program

IBMR Gurugram has organised a session on Investors Awareness Program on 7th May’22. The seminar was focused on the awareness of investment in stock market, opening of demat account and importance of investment. Opening remarks and introduction was given by Mr. Abhay Jain and our Academic Head Ms. Shabana Tabrez.
The session was of almost 3 hours given by our chief guest Mr. Pawan Bharadwaj(Manager- NSE DELHI) followed by Mr. Sachin( Manager- NSDL) and Mr. Gyanendra Kumar( DGM- SEBI, NRO).
They highlighted the details of the topic about all the benefits of investment in the market . It concludes with the Q&A session done with the students. Few of our students (Nivedita from BBA, SHILANAND from MBA, Alok Mittal from BBA, Jai Chabbra from BBA) have asked questions regarding their doubts.
It was a fruitful session ending with the deep knowledge about the Awareness on Investment.

Farewell Ceremony

A farewell ceremony was organised by IBMR on 14th may 2022 at Casabella Banquet for the 2020 batch of MBA and 2019 batch of BBA. The event was organised by 2021 batch of MBA and 2020 batch of BBA. Junior batch did several arrangements for passing seniors to feel special . They made sure every student and faculty member was invited and felt special, they also prepare many activities like group dance, solo dance, singing performances etc.
The function began at 10:30 with the lighting of the lamp by the honourable Mrs Shabana Tabrez and present faculty members. After that host for the evening, Mitali and Yash welcomed everybody, with singing performances prepared by students which were mesmerising followed by many energetic dance performances by both the junior batches of MBA and BBA. They also made sure seniors could be a part of the event so they decided to play some games with them like dancing on the paper and guessing song games which were successfully pulled off by gaming hosts Manisha from MBA and Mohit from BBA. They also organised a Ramp walk round for seniors followed by a talent hunt round which was to be judged by lovely faculties. Mr Farewell and Miss Farewell for MBA were Mr. Rajat and Miss. Garima respectively and Mr Farewell and Miss Farewell for BBA were Mr. Anshul and Miss Diksha respectively.
After the gifting ceremony for all the winners, Mr and Miss farewells performed a lovely dance and were later joined by their commarads. It was a great and successful event.

Blood Donation Camp

A number of patients lose their life due to unavailability of blood. Apart from being a noble gesture it’s the need of the hour.

IBMR organized a blood donation campaign where a lot of students and staff participated.

The donation was performed under the strict supervision of Doctors and keeping in mind the body apprehensions of individuals.

The campaign was organized by the IBMR Staff and Society and was inaugurated by the Honourable Chairman Mr. Pawaan Jain.

Sports Day

In order to enhance Leadership qualities and reduce stress IBMR conducted a Sports Day, a 3 day event in the campus premises.

The college felicitated and awarded all the students for their contribution towards making the event successful.

The best sportsman and sportswomen award for the academic year were also presented during the program.
